Covid-19 Policies and Procedures
Searchmont Resort will cooperate with all provincial regulations and recommendations in regards to Covid-19. Nothing is more important than the safety of our guests. We have a responsibility to provide a fun and safe environment where you are able to enjoy your favourite pastime and we will always do our best to make that happen.
Searchmont Resort encourages everyone to get vaccinated (if possible), wear a mask and be courteous of others.
Please read below to find our policies and procedures regarding Covid-19.
Provincial regulations require guests to provide proof of vaccination in designated resort areas including but not limited to dining areas, restaurant, and indoor meeting spaces. When visiting the resort, please be prepared with personal identification and receipt of full vaccination status to ensure access to these areas.
While inside the lodge we encourage all guests to wear masks or appropriate face coverings when not eating or drinking.
Social distancing is encouraged to be practiced while on resort grounds.
Guests that are not fully vaccinated are permitted to ski and snowboard but must remain distanced and outside designated areas. If regulations for outdoor sports, including skiing and snowboarding, are modified the resort will act accordingly and communicate any changes with our guests.
Also, there will be zero tolerance on our social media platforms pertaining to any misinformation or inappropriate comments regarding the virus.
Every Searchmont Resort employee will be pre-screened prior to the start of their shift.
Any employee not capable of passing the provincial screening test will be advised to follow recommendations from Algoma Public Health.
All employees of Searchmont Resort are required to wear masks while in proximity of guests and be encouraged to maintain an acceptable distance relative to their role.
Personal hygiene practices, including the washing of hands, will be emphasized.
As of September 7, 2021, fully vaccinated travellers from any country can enter Canada for discretionary travel if they meet all mandatory requirements.
All travellers, with limited exceptions, whether entering Canada by air, land or marine vessel, must use ArriveCAN.
You'll need to submit your information within 72 hours before your arrival to Canada.
